Therapeutic Clown Workshop for Cyberbullying Awareness

The “Therapeutic Clown Workshop for Cyberbullying Awareness,” organized by the Sustainable Technological Adaptation Project (SETAP), carried out in collaboration between Yeditepe University E-Commerce Department and Ataşehir Municipality, has been successfully held.

This workshop, conducted in cooperation with the Yarenlik Yolu Platform and led by students from Yeditepe University’s E-Commerce Department, was successfully completed with the interactive participation of children.

Within the scope of the workshop, it was aimed for children to:

• Recognize different types of cyberbullying they may encounter in digital environments,
• Develop appropriate responses to situations such as insults, exclusion, and being ignored online,
• Act consciously when receiving messages from unknown individuals,
• Gain awareness about protecting personal information and safe internet use.

Through therapeutic clown practices, children were supported in learning about the risks they may encounter in the digital world in a fun, understandable, and non-threatening way. The concept of cyberbullying was made more concrete through games and role-playing activities, ensuring active participation from the children.

Thanks to the safe environment created with clown characters, children were encouraged to express themselves more comfortably and actively engage in the learning process.

SETAP workshops will continue with a variety of rich topics. Information about the next workshop is as follows:
