SETAP “A Completely Different Object” Workshop Completed

The “A Completely Different Object” workshop, organized במסגרת the Sustainable Technological Adaptation Project (SETAP) carried out in collaboration between Yeditepe University E-Commerce Department and Ataşehir Municipality, has been successfully completed.

The workshop was conducted under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr. Özlem Mutaf Büyükarman from Yeditepe University’s Department of Graphic Design. The aim of the workshop was to help children develop creative thinking skills beyond digital screens and to enhance their productivity by approaching everyday objects from a different perspective.

In this context, it was aimed for children to:

• Redesign ordinary objects using their imagination,
• Experience a production-oriented process instead of passive screen-based consumption,
• Discover and express their creativity through design.

During the workshop, children had the opportunity to experience the transformative power of design by turning simple objects they encounter in daily life into “completely different” forms.

Thanks to the therapeutic and creative approach, children both had fun and enjoyed the process of producing, taking a short creative break from the digital world.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Mutaf Büyükarman for her valuable contributions.

Our workshops will continue with new and educational topics.
